“Mike may not be quite the master that JC is, but he’s truly excellent. More than that, his stage energy is intense and infectious. At the end of some songs he rises to his feet with the final cymbal crash. You can see his enthusiasm spreading to Billy as the two of them get into lock-step rock mode in certain songs. The vibrancy of the current lineup is better than anything we’ve seen since the reunion. We had Jimmy in the band in 2007-08 and it felt kinda weird, didn’t it? Feels more natural with the all-new lineup to me, even if a hole has been left by the arguably greatest living drummer.” - werideatdusk
